Settling In

In order to ensure that your child settles quickly into a routine in our setting, we offer three sessions of 'Stay and Play'.  Parents are offered three settling sessions when your child is ready to visit the nursery.  On the first visit, you are encouraged to stay with your child and chat with their class teacher.

The following two sessions are an opportunity for you to come and drop off your child and leave them if they are settled.

We will talk with you at the end of their three settling-in sessions to let you know when your child will start or if we think they would benefit from further settling in.  The overwhelming majority start the day after their three sessions.

Your settling-in sessions will be at the usual time you would normally have your child's session so they can get used to the other children in the setting and curriculum on those days.
