We believe Reading and Writing lessons should excite, engage and inspire children to communicate effectively, creatively and thoughtfully. Our curriculum is text-led with a focus on exposing children to rich language, ambitious vocabulary and challenging ideas, with access to both modern and classic literature.

We follow a school scheme we've developed with Hampshire County Council called 'Get it Write'.

Through a wide selection of high-quality texts, children are encouraged to discuss and debate ideas, focus on the author's use of language and purpose and gain enjoyment from the stories and texts they read, developing a lifelong love of books and reading.
