Successful Learners

We aim for all children, no matter their background, ability or experience, to be successful at learning new things. We have an approach to learning that champions the effort it takes to become an expert at something. We focus on learning contextual knowledge about the subjects we teach, and then we translate this knowledge and information into applying that knowledge in our own contexts. 

We have developed our High-Quality Responsive Teaching (HQRT) model of teaching to support all children to thrive academically.  We make no bones of our drive to achieve academic excellence.  We are probably best known in this field for our teaching of Maths. Teachers from all over Oxford come to the school to see the model being taught.  Our Head Teacher, Steve Dew, has also presented our model and videos of HQRT in practice at regional conferences.
